Belbaker Bus Charter is a trusted provider of passenger transport services, committed to safety, reliability and excellence. As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to ensure our services meet all regulatory, safety and operational requirements.

The Compliance Officer will play a key role in maintaining and monitoring compliance across our transport operations. This includes overseeing fatigue management systems, ensuring driver authorities and licences are current, and maintaining compliance with all relevant transport legislation, accreditation schemes and safety standards.

Position includes, but is not limited to the following:

Monitor, audit and report on compliance with State and Federal transport regulations

Oversee fatigue management programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies

Maintain records and ensure currency of driver authorities, licences, accreditations and medicals

Develop and deliver compliance training and updates for drivers and staff

Conduct internal audits on logbooks, vehicle maintenance records and operational procedures

Liaise with regulators and accreditation bodies regarding compliance and obligations

Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, developing corrective and preventative actions

Support the continual improvement of safety and compliance standards and systems within the business

Additional tasks as required

About You:

Strong knowledge of the transport industry legislation, compliance frameworks and fatigue management requirements

Experience in compliance, safety, or operations within the passenger transport or broader transport/logistics industry

Excellent attention to detail and record keeping skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage drivers, staff and external regulators

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

This role is for 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at first as a casual but with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate.
