The successful applicant will be confident in their skills, motivated to perform and have:

responsible for the entire kitchen operation, this includes rostering, recruitment, costing, staffing, stock rotation, stock ordering and menu design.

planning and costing extensive menus

prioritize dietary requirement in menu planning

estimate food requirements, proportioning of food and proper presentation as per the guidelines

ordering and controlling kitchen stocks and quality maintenance of perishable items

converse with managers, supervisors, dietary specialists, and other kitchen staffs about operational and food preparation problems

delegate tasks to other staff within the kitchen

assist in hiring, train cooks and other staffs

monitor food stock and place orders when necessary

perform and counsel on cooking procedures and techniques

ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Skills:

One year work experience as a Chef

Related Cookery qualification is preferred

Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment

Leadership skills

Excellent time management abilities

Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

Familiarity with sanitation regulations

Working Hours: 38 hours / per week

Salary: $75,000- $85,000+ Superannuation
