About the Role
The District Administration Secretary (max term up to 12 March 2027) provides executive assistance and secretarial support to the District Assistant Chief Officer (ACFO) including managing calendar and diary entries and events, tracking emails and other correspondence.
Additionally, the incumbent will provide administrative support for meetings including agenda preparation, schedule meetings, catering requirements, minute taking, as well as following up action items, initiating action and liaising with senior management on meeting outcomes where required.
A key function of this position is providing support to District Commanders and the District Business Manager, with word processing, organising meetings and conferences, diary management and handling routine enquiries from the public.
What you will need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Certificate of Business Administration or similar qualification or relevant experience.
Proficiency in MS Office suites such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
Business writing skills (advantageous).
Sound interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members, managers and external stakeholders.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills to obtain the cooperation of others to resolve administrative or operational issues.
Sound numeracy and analytical skills to understand, interpret and synthesise basic data and information.
Capable of organising work priorities to meet competing deadlines with a capacity to identify areas of improvement within the work area.

FRV’s standard practice is to appoint at the base of the salary range, however consideration will be given to an above base salary within the advertised range based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience
