We're looking for a forward-thinking Business Systems Coordinator to join our Client's Technology and Innovation team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage a small team, drive system improvements, and deliver real impact across Council's technology, business systems, GIS, and websites.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and coordinating the Business Systems team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Overseeing the management of business systems, GIS, websites and third-party products.
• Driving reporting and data improvements - moving manual processes into automated solutions using SQL, SSRS and Power BI.
• Partnering with stakeholders across council to provide specialist advice, influence decisions, and deliver smarter solutions.
• Managing budgets, KPIs, projects and contractors, with a focus on performance and value for money.
• Rolling up your sleeves when needed - this is a very hands-on technical role.

About you

We're after someone who is not only technically strong, but also a natural problem solver and team leader. You'll bring:

• A degree in IT/Systems (or equivalent experience) plus 5+ years in a similar role.
• Solid experience with SQL, Power BI, system integrations and ideally ERP systems.
• Experience with Azure platforms (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Strong leadership skills - you know how to motivate, coach and build a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, deadlines, and competing priorities.
