We’re on the hunt for charismatic, hospitality-driven Waiters to join the opening team at Clarence, our newly reimagined Restaurant in the heart of South Brisbane’s Fish Lane precinct.

Whether you’re just starting out, or you’re a seasoned section pro or cocktail expert – if you care deeply about great service, great food and drink, and great people, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We’re hiring across all levels, with both casual and Full-time roles available. You’ll work closely with a tight-knit team delivering warm, knowledgeable, and genuine hospitality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities may include:

Running sections or supporting the floor team during service

Taking orders, upselling with confidence, and managing guest experiences

Delivering food and drinks to tables with precision and care

Preparing cocktails, pouring wines, and managing bar service (bartenders)

Opening and closing duties, general cleaning, and restocking

What We’re Looking For

We’re building a team with personality, work ethic, and curiosity. You don’t need decades of experience – but you do need to bring energy, a strong sense of hospitality, and a desire to learn.

Ideal candidates will have:

Experience in a similar venue, or a genuine passion for restaurants and bars

Confidence around wine and/or cocktails (or the desire to learn)

Ability to work well under pressure, take initiative, and be part of a team

Great communication skills and a proactive approach to service
