About the role

Busy Bees Early Learning Australia is seeking a dedicated Chef/Cook to join our team in our Kalgoorlie, WA 6430 location.

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia as no sponsorship is offered.

This part-time role for 30 hours a week ( 07:30 - 13:30 ) is responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care, ensuring they receive the highest quality food to support their growth and development.

What you'll be doing

Plan, prepare and cook meals that meet the nutritional needs of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years

Ensure all meals comply with relevant food safety and health regulations

Manage stock levels and order supplies as required

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

Work collaboratively with the early learning team to support the children's overall wellbeing

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification

Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Chef or Cook, preferably in an early learning or childcare setting but no mandatory.

Knowledge of nutrition, food handling and preparation for young children

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A passion for providing high-quality care and education for young children

Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain
