About the Position
Reporting to the Senior Civil Officer, Civil Maintenance, the position of Technical/Programming Officer is an integral role within the team. The role is responsible for programming and supporting the teamwork flow including data analysis and processing which feeds into our programmed works. Working closely with our civil inspection team, team coordinators and project officers, the role develops and schedules civil maintenance activities across the city.
About You
The successful applicant will have experience within the civil industry with a firm understanding of data collection and processing, preparation of inspection programs that feed proactive works programs. The ability to develop and provide detailed reports in relation to customer request trends, KPI’s associated with delivery of works and tracking of input/output work status.
In addition, you will possess strong ICT skills for data collection and analysis, coupled with effective communication skills and an ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience in data systems for programming management (OneCouncil or similar).
- Proven experience in the civil industry with project and maintenance programming, ideally. related to sealed and unsealed road works, above and underground drainage, verge, watercourse maintenance, wetlands, coastal maintenance, concrete and other civil activities.
- Demonstrated experience in civil maintenance activities including the development and implementation of maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to inform decision making.
- Knowledge of Asset Management and Maintenance Management principles and systems.
- Time management and work prioritisation skills to plan, schedule and control multiple projects.
- High level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills that enable communication at all levels and encourage the development, co-operation and support of others.
