About the role:

• Provide expert engineering support on development applications, infrastructure planning and operational works.
• Assess, manage and oversee development applications to ensure compliance with planning, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with asset custodians and stakeholders to deliver practical engineering solutions that meet legislative and community needs.
• Oversee subdivision, infrastructure, and development construction, ensuring assets meet Council’s standards and are fit for purpose.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) and related infrastructure planning projects.
• Provide advice on strategic land use planning and participate in the development of policies, manuals, and standards.

To be successful you must have the following:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (mandatory).
• High-level knowledge of engineering requirements relating to roads, water, sewer, waste, park and drainage infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Local government or related industry experience (highly regarded).
• RPEQ accreditation (desirable).
