About the role
As the Head of Visual Art, you will lead a vibrant and well-established faculty, resourcing and delivering innovative academic programs that reflect the College’s commitment to excellence. Working collaboratively with other middle leaders, you will play a key role in shaping the learning journey of every student, while contributing to the broader strategic vision of the College.
Your leadership will extend beyond managing faculty operations – it will involve nurturing staff, encouraging innovation, and fostering a culture of continual improvement. You will inspire both students and teachers to engage deeply with the Visual Arts, championing creative expression while ensuring strong academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop faculty staff, encouraging professional growth and collaboration.
- Manage resources, budgets, and policies to ensure high standards and alignment with College strategy.
- Drive innovation in pedagogy, technology integration, and creative practice within the faculty.
- Maintain oversight of assessment, reporting, and student progress, ensuring excellence across all programs.
- Champion the Visual Arts within the College community and beyond, promoting exhibitions, events, and student achievement.
- Collaborate with other Heads of Faculty and College leaders to ensure a cohesive, future-focused approach to learning.
