Looking for an emerging or experienced educational leader to thrive and inspire our teachers and students to achieve academic excellence in the faculty of Business. This is a fixed-term 12-month contract commencing in Term 1, 2026.
The Head of Faculty (Business) role calls for an inspirational educational leader who is responsible for creating a culture of excellence in teaching and learning in a vibrant environment, whilst advancing the tenets of the School. They will be strong in leading a people-focussed agenda combined with a desire to maximise achievement for all students through innovation and continual improvement of the programme. The Head of Faculty (Business) reports directly to the Deputy Headmaster.

Personal attributes and qualities:
- The ability to organise and deliver curriculum applicable to an entire cohort
- The ability to display a positive and supportive outlook, and to develop within the cohort a climate of trust, support, and mutual respect
- Sensitivity and understanding of the needs and behaviours of students
- The ability to reflect on one’s leadership style of the cohort as an example that is appropriate for boys, including service to others, tolerance, patience, and a value of individual differences
The successful candidate demonstrates:
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of the subject syllabi, supported by academic excellence and proven excellence as a classroom practitioner.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the planning, learning and assessing principles underpinning all subjects within the faculty.
- Demonstrate a robust knowledge and understanding of adolescent boys, including how choices in curricular design affect motivation and performance.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of classroom pedagogies for engaging and nurturing boys within a rigorous curriculum that integrates technology as a tool to enhance learning.
- Display extensive knowledge of and teaching the Australian Curriculum and QCE Subject courses. Display extensive knowledge and experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of classroom pedagogies for engaging and nurturing boys within a rigorous curriculum that integrates technology as a tool to enhance learning.
- Display thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCE Subject courses. Display knowledge or a willingness to engage with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Demonstrate a capacity to develop a climate of trust, candour and mutual respect with colleagues, students and parents in a Christian school setting in the Anglican tradition.
- Willingness to support the spiritual, community and cocurricular life of the School.

There are approximately 530 boys in the Preparatory School and 1250 in Senior School. Boarding is an important part of the School's life and over 170 boys from Years 7 to 12 are accommodated at Churchie.
