We are seeking a passionate and?This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality, client-centred care while providing strong clinical leadership, advanced wound care expertise, and operational oversight.
About the Role
As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will oversee our nursing team, manage clinical referrals, and ensure the delivery of safe and effective care to our clients. A key part of your role will be acting as the wound care guru – managing and providing guidance on complex wounds, undertaking wound assessments, developing wound management plans, and sharing expert knowledge with other nurses to build capability across the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting Community RNs and Education/Assessment Nurses.
Acting as the clinical lead for wound care, including complex wound assessments, treatment planning, and oversight of wound nursing runs.
Providing expert advice, training, and mentorship to nursing staff on wound management.
Managing clinical referrals, booking assessments, and allocating cases.
Reviewing assessments and ensuring timely communication with referrers and coordinators.
Overseeing client care plans for catheter care, wound care, diabetes, seizure management, and medication support.
Maintaining stakeholder relationships with organisations and insurance companies.
Coordinating with Finance to ensure timely quotes and billing processes.
Managing incident reporting and follow-up with staff and stakeholders.
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for community health. You bring advanced clinical expertise in wound care and thrive on sharing that knowledge with others. You can balance clinical oversight with operational responsibilities and have excellent communication skills to engage with clients, staff, and external partners.
Essential skills and experience:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and staff management.
Strong background in community or acute nursing.
Advanced skills in wound care, including assessment and management of complex wounds.
Ability to provide education and mentorship to other clinicians on wound management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of care planning across wound care, catheter care, diabetes, seizure management, and medication protocols.
Current NDIS Working with vulnerable people check (yellow card) and Working with Children Check (blue card) or willingness to obtain
Undertake Clinical on call
Current Australian Drivers Licence

You will be part of our Head Office team based in Southport, working Monday – Friday, 8.00am to 4.06pm. There are around 20 of us in Head Office - we have a wonderful team, who works hard, and you are rewarded and appreciated for your efforts (think coffee & juice runs, birthday celebrations, fun night's out, team lunches, Friday drinks and gift cards!). And you will need to love dogs as we have an office pooch most days that makes us all happy during the day!
