Casual Hotel Receptionist – Claremont Hospitality Group
Location: Multiple properties on Tarcutta St, Wagga Wagga | Shifts: 4–5 per week (incl. weekends) | Morning & Afternoon Shifts available

Are you a people person with a passion for hospitality and a great cup of coffee? Claremont Hospitality Group is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Casual Receptionist to join our front office team!

This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meeting new people, and loves delivering exceptional guest experiences—from check-in, to coffee service, to check-out!

About the Role

You'll work across both morning and afternoon shifts, with responsibilities that blend traditional front desk duties with guest service and light café work.

Morning Shift Responsibilities:

Ushering guests to breakfast in the café

Taking food & drink orders and preparing barista-style coffee (barista experience highly regarded)

Assisting café staff while managing front desk duties

Responding to online guest reviews in a timely and professional manner

Liaising with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth daily operations

Hours between 8am-2pm Monday to Sunday

Afternoon Shift Responsibilities:

Checking in guests and providing a warm, informative welcome

Taking bookings and handling guest enquiries via phone and email

Assisting with folding linen when required

Supporting guests with any needs or requests during their stay

Hours between 2pm-8pm Monday to Sunday

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Warm, approachable, and service-focused

Highly organised and confident working independently

Able to juggle multiple responsibilities with a can-do attitude

Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

Comfortable using basic computer systems and communication tools

Barista experience preferred, but not essential

Ability to think on your feet and problem solve on the fly!

Previous experience in hotel reception, customer service, or hospitality preferred

Role Details

Casual position – 4 to 5 shifts per week

Includes weekend availability

Mix of morning and afternoon shifts

General Hospitality Award Level 2 pay rates

Part-time position also available for the right candidate
