Seeking for a temporary Practice RN Nurse position, to fill in the spot of our current nurse, during her maternity leave, from now to February 2026. We are a small but very busy well established accredited GP family medical practice in Camden South, providing healthcare services for the local region. We are committed to providing the highest possible standards of professional care to our patients. To help us achieve this, we are looking for a nurse who can complement her high values and initiatives with ours and work well along side with doctors and other staff members.
The ideal individual will have experience working in general practice and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. The successful candidate will be required to work 8 hours per day between Mon to Fri. They will also be a team player; self-motivated & is familiar with clinical software tools. This position will give you the opportunity to undertake a variety of practice administrative & nursing tasks as required.
Job Requirements include: -
Essential requirements:
Current AHPRA registration.
Performing child and adult immunisations.
Knowledge of immunisation schedules for children and adults.
Further immunisation training as required by the roll.
Applying dressings and wound care.
A caring, professional demeanour and commitment to your role in the team.
Assist other clinicians as needed.
The ability to work independently.
Absolute confidentiality and discretion in all clinic and patient matters at all times.
Excellent communication skills.
High level of computer literacy.
The use of Medical Software such as Best Practice.
Drive quality medical initiatives programs for the practice internally and for SWSPHN.
Attend further education as required by the roll.
Australian Residency.
Maintain current CPR certificate.
Highly Desirable:
Experience in assisting doctors with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
Well women's' screening.
Developing and managing various patient's Chronic Disease Management Care Plans.
Diabetes management.
Working knowledge of Best Practice.
Assist maintenance of treatment room and cold chain requirements and records.
Previous experience in preparation for Accreditation standards.
Pathology blood collection.
