Good Heat is a developer, owner and operator of clean heat projects for industry. We are an early stage, venture backed company. We will soon begin the project finance process of our first large scale project, with a rapidly growing pipeline of projects thereafter.

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a primary focus on project finance to lead our financial strategy, risk management, and capital structuring. The CFO will play a pivotal role in securing financing for major projects, managing investor and lender relationships, and ensuring that all financial frameworks support long-term growth. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex project financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Project Finance Leadership

Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project finance transactions, including debt, equity, and hybrid structures.

Develop robust financial models to assess project viability, risk, and return.

Manage relationships with banks, investors, development finance institutions, and other funding partners.

Oversee due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, technical, and commercial advisors. Scrutiny of contracts with external parties such as EPCs, O&M, PPAs, and offtakers.

Strategic Financial Management

Develop and execute financial strategies that align with company and project objectives.

Oversee cash flow planning, treasury, and capital allocation.

Ensure compliance with financing agreements and covenants.

Advise the CEO and Board on financial strategy, project risks, and investment opportunities.

Corporate Finance & Governance

Maintain strong financial control, statutory reporting, and risk management frameworks.

Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.

Support corporate growth initiatives, including M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven track record in finance roles and raising capital.

Strong background in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex financing arrangements.

Experience in energy infrastructure is preferred.

Deep knowledge of financial modelling, risk analysis, and investment evaluation.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with boards, investors, and lenders.
