About our Client
Our client is an Engineering company and has been delivering precision steel fabrication since 1962. With state-of-the-art facilities and a reputation for excellence, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the fabrication operations.

The Role
We are looking for a hands-on leader to take ownership of our workshop, driving productivity, quality, and safety. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, manage a skilled team of tradespeople, and ensure projects are delivered to specification, on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage workshop staff, including trades, apprentices, and assistants.

Oversee workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Maintain strict safety and quality standards across all operations.

Liaise with engineering and project teams to align workshop output with client needs.

Monitor materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and maintenance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

About You

Trade/technical qualification in fabrication, welding, or mechanical engineering.

Proven leadership experience in a workshop management role, preferably steel fabrication or heavy engineering.

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

Ability to motivate and mentor teams.

Knowledge of CAD systems advantageous but not essential.
