We are seeking Senior Animal Attendant at our Cornubia location.

Casual/Part Time (regular work)

Position

We currently have a position available and are seeking a Senior Animal Attendant (over 21) at our award winning Pet Resort for regular varying work of 4-8 days/around 30-60hrs per fortnight (15-30 p/w).

Animal Attendants work varying week days that include alternate weekends and Public Holidays, with additional work during school holidays Easter and Christmas.

Job Description

Commencing as an “Animal Attendant” responsible for looking after our boarding pets (mostly dogs & cats) feeding and bathing, cleaning the kennels and cattery, and checking pets In & Out, then progressing to “Reservation Specialist” when fully competent with our policies and procedures including our software and booking system, answering and attending customer sales enquiries, taking and making bookings.

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required, however Cert 111 companion animal studies would be highly regarded and or previous experience working in boarding kennels or handling dogs and cats is definitely an advantage.

The Criteria to be considered the applicant must be…

An animal lover wanting to work with pets, particular dogs and cats

Physically fit, strong and able to handle and control dogs and cats

Not be afraid of physical work or getting their hands dirty

Punctual, reliable and willing to work and eager to learn (Training will be provided)

Must have a current drivers license, own car and live within close proximity (ideally within 15 kms)

Available to work additional shifts when required including school and public holidays - Easter & Christmas.

Have excellent computer, phone and customer communication skills.
