The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Boarding House Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of student rooms and shared spaces, contributing to a five-star experience for all residents.

This role is suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and orderly environment and is motivated by delivering a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain student rooms and common areas to a high standard

Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently and cost-effectively

Assist in maintaining an environment that reflects SCC’s values of care, community, and respect

About You

We’re looking for a reliable and emotionally aware individual who aligns with the mission and values of SCC. You’re a team player with a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

Selection Criteria

Experience in a similar role in hospitality, student accommodation, or a related setting

Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure

Strong judgement and ability to work independently

Creative, solution-focused, and committed to high-quality outcomes

Experience in a residential or educational setting (advantageous but not essential)

High attention to detail and appreciation for aesthetics and presentation

Requirements

Availability to work flexible hours if occasionally required

Essential - Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)

Essential - Current National Criminal History Check (within the past 12 months and satisfactory)

Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain/update)
