Not your average pet care job – this one’s for the animal-obsessed.
We’re partnering with our incredible client in the pet care industry to help find their next Animal Attendant.
This is role is ideal for someone who’s got a little experience under their belt and is looking for meaningful, ongoing work- not just a time-filler.
Whether you’ve worked at a boarding facility, vet clinic, or just always been a go-to pet sitter, this role offers the perfect blend of purpose, independence, and tail-wagging joy.
Why You’ll Love This Role
Picture this: you’re cruising between visits, windows down, playlist on, off to see your regular furry clients. Whether it’s a tiny Terrier or a gentle Great Dane, every visit is a chance to build trust, give care, and brighten someone’s day, two-legged or four.
You’ll drop into clients’ homes for enrichment walks, holiday care, quick health checks, and plenty of love. You’ll never walk more than three small dogs or one big one at a time - quality always wins over quantity. After each visit, you snap some pics, pop an update into the app, and roll on to your next adventure, knowing you’ve just made a pet parent’s day that little bit easier.
This role gives you the best of both worlds - consistent hours that work around your life, and the independence to manage your own day. But you’re never flying solo. There’s a solid team behind the scenes who’ve got your back when you need them.
It’s more than just pet care. It’s fresh air, wagging tails, happy humans and the kind of job that fills your cup at the end of the day (muddy paws and all).
You’ll Be Perfect For This If You:
Have previous hands-on experience with animals (boarding facility, vet clinic, rescue facility, or similar).
Love work that truly matters, that fits around your schedule.
Are nurturing, patient, calm, and confident in handling a range of breeds and personalities
Live locally to the Hills District and love working independently
Are looking for long-term work you can take pride in - not a “for now” job
You're probably our kind of human if:
You’ve spent at least a year getting your hands dirty in a Kennel Hand, Vet Clinic, or similar animal care role
You’ve got a Cert II in Animal Studies or something close – or you’re working towards one (big tick from us either way!)
You’ve got your own car, a licence, and Australian Worksright (all essential)
You’re around Monday to Friday, happy to jump in during peak times like Christmas, and open to weekend shift too (note there are multiple shift patterns, so if you are unsure, apply anyway!)
You’re calm, responsible and comfy flying solo with a schedule
You’ve got the physical energy to keep up with our fur friends – and the heart to give them a tail-waggingly great day
You know how to make time work for you – and the pets in your care
