Supporting MSQ's Industry Engagement Manager in the delivery of our school engagement strategy and critical projects, this role is instrumental in coordinating and delivering engaging activities that connects students with manufacturing industry opportunities.
What you will do
Support the implementation of MSQ’s school engagement strategy, including coordinating and scheduling school engagement activities across Queensland; and tracking participation travel, and expenses.
Support the coordination and facilitation of bus tours with students and teachers to industry sites, and industry to schools.
Represent MSQ at school and industry events with regular travel to schools and industry sites throughout Queensland. Some out-of-hours work may be required to attend school events.
Support the facilitation of classroom-based activities, including virtual reality experiences and other interactive learning focused on manufacturing and manufacturing careers.
Contribute to the development of engagement resources and materials.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with schools, teachers, and professional industry partners.
Maintain accurate records of all engagement activities in CRM Dynamics, and assist with evaluation and reporting of school engagement programs.
Support other projects related to school engagement as required.
Who we are looking for

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills including confident public speaking and presentation skills with enthusiasm for promoting manufacturing careers to young people; and a strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Proactive and highly organised with the ability to work autonomously, problem-solve, multitask, prioritise, and work effectively in a small team environment.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality of written communication, and delivery of high standards of work in line with best practice.
Essential experience and skills
Experience in education, youth engagement, or manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated experience in event coordination and facilitation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM Dynamics.
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain one.
Current driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Queensland, including some out of hours work.
Knowledge of Queensland’s education system and curriculum, and/or an understanding of the manufacturing industry and career pathways is highly advantageous.
Experience in project management, and qualifications in education, business, or related field are also highly advantageous.
