About Us
We are committed to delivering quality services to our NDIS and Aged Care participants, and we're looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a Support Worker.
About the Role
We’re seeking compassionate Support Worker to assist an adult participant in Chester Hill with a focus on manual handling, medication administration, personal care, and clear Mandarin & English communication. The participant requires daily support to live safely and comfortably in a shared home and stay connected to the community.
What you will do
Provide respectful personal care (showering, grooming, continence support, dressing)
Safely perform manual handling and use mobility aids as required
Administer/assist with medication in line with competency and care plans
Support daily living, meal prep, light housekeeping and community access
Complete accurate shift notes and incident reporting
Communicate effectively in Mandarin and English with participants, families and the care team
What you will bring
Fluency in Mandarin, confident English for notes and handovers.
Previous experience in Disability/Aged Care or Personal Care (Stroke/hoist/manual handling experience highly regarded)
Certificate III and above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Service or Disability will be an advantage.
Current valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
Current or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
Current or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current or willing to obtain Working with Children Check
Warm, respectful communicator who can work independently
High level of time management and organisational ability.
Employment Type
Casual engagement to start (Penalty rates per Award)
Performance review at 2 months for Part-Time or Full-Time consideration based on performance, participant feedback and roster needs.
