We are currently seeking experienced Marine Mechanical Fitters to join our team and work with one of our highly respected clients, based in Henderson & Naval Base. As a Marine Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs, overhauls, and maintenance of marine systems and equipment in both workshop and site environments.

This role demands a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict project deadlines. You will be required to perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and disassembly tasks to a high standard, identify and diagnose equipment faults and carry out corrective repairs, and measure, calibrate, and record mechanical dimensions with precision.

Experience with marine diesel engines, transmissions, auxiliary gensets, air-conditioning systems, DC electrical systems, and reverse osmosis (RO) plants will be highly regarded.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Australian recognised trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter)
• Preferably with experience in the marine industry, though relevant experience from other sectors will also be considered
• Proven experience in mechanical fitting, repairs, and overhauls of marine equipment and systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to perform corrective repairs
• Ability to perform precise measurement, calibration, and documentation of mechanical dimensions
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing marine diesel engines, transmissions, and auxiliary gensets
• Knowledge of air-conditioning, DC electrical systems, and reverse osmosis plants is highly desirable
• High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to meet strict project deadlines in both workshop and site environments.
