  • $79,563 pa + 12% super (level 3)
    Great news - EBA6 currently is underway, with a proposed increase of 5% effective 1 July 2025
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join City of Moreton Bay as a GIS and Asset Data Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a GIS and Asset Data Officer you'll be handling the capture of asset and spatial data from information sources including “As Constructed” plans and Asset Design and As Constructed (ADAC) electronic files, and provide input into the maintenance and improvement of processes, workflows and asset data cleansing projects. You'll also:

  • Prepare basic asset reports
  • Provide team support in managing consultants engaged in data capture and asset management projects
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of asset and spatial data and provide basic spatial analysis
  • Undertake field validation of asset data and basic condition assessments in order to update Council asset register.

About you

We're looking for your experience managing large and complex asset data and GIS data, with ESRI ArcGIS to capture and manipulate spatial data as well as knowledge of asset management systems, practices and processes. You'll also bring:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and cross validate with spatial data
  • Experience with basic survey equipment e.g. Trimble handheld devices
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Current C class driver’s licence.
