The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional Traffic & Transport Engineer who is passionate about their profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
Working with the City’s Technical Services team, you will provide strategic leadership and planning in transport and movement infrastructure that contribute to an efficient, safe, equitable and sustainable movement network. You will be responsible for preparing transport and movement infrastructure capital works programs to contribute to the efficient asset management of transport infrastructure and conducting modelling and investigating changes in trends, usage, service levels, regulatory requirements and standards for transport and movement infrastructure for the purposes of identifying required capital new, upgrade and renewal projects. As the City’s specialist in this area you will provide professional advice and technical support to Management, Executive and Council in matters relating to safe and sustainable transport and movement infrastructure management.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Hold a current unrestricted ‘C’ class national driver’s licence (Essential).
- Experienced and Accredited Road Safety Auditor
- Ten (10) years of relevant industry experience.
