Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital
Are you passionate about sleep health and looking to make a real impact in a supportive clinical setting? We're looking for a dedicated and qualified Sleep Scientist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team on a permanent part-time basis.
In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in the investigation and management of sleep disorders, while also contributing to the smooth, day-to-day operation of our sleep service. The Position
- Conducting trials of positive airway pressure testing therapy
- Maintaining recall list for patient therapy review
- Equipment and patient set ups for sleep monitoring
- Equipment removal and cleaning
- Data Entry
- Take part in a roster with other caregivers to provide a comprehensive service including:
Position Requirements
You will need to be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You should be confident in your ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and other health professionals, ensuring clear and respectful communication across all levels of care. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to produce clear documentation and contribute to effective team communication.
You will also require a high level of computer literacy, including the ability to navigate clinical software and digital systems with confidence. You must be comfortable with high-level telephone communication, including the ability to clearly instruct and support patients over the phone. A health-related qualification is desirable, along with professionalism and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.

- Salary: $74,627 to $78,011 pro rata, plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent part-time position, working 46 or 61 hours per fortnight
