We are a Melbourne-based hospitality collective that owns and operates three iconic venues in Melbourne; Arbory Bar & Eatery, an all-day eatery and bar on a disused Flinders Street Station platform next to the Yarra River (Birrarung); Afloat, a summer-loving temporary floating restaurant and bar on the Yarra River (Birrarung); and HER, an entire building dedicated to dining, drinking, art and music in the heart of the CBD.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join the team at HER Melbourne. Work and learn in a positive, fun, and professional environment.

About the role

Hands on role, delivering an efficient, professional and profitable kitchen operation

You will be adept at running a busy section

You will be creative and contribute to an everchanging seasonal menu

You will complete daily ordering and accurate stock takes

You will assist to document, cost and standardise menu items

You will have a sound understanding of workplace health and safety standards

Experience in managing food and labour costs

Ability to demonstrate and train new chefs

Ability to give constructive feedback
