Level 1 - $45,837.90- $81,117.20 per annum + 12% superannuation + Cert III Sport, Aquatics & Recreation

Your Traineeship

As a Sport & Recreation Trainee, you'll learn all the functions required to support the operations of a large, multifaceted stadium. This hands-on role offers real-world experience, professional development, and a pathway to a nationally recognised qualification (Cert III in Sport, Aquatics & Recreation).

What You'll Be Doing

As a Sports & Recreation Trainee, you'll assist in the day-to-day operations of the Town's leisure portfolio. You'll be:

Providing support in the processing of administrative tasks, including team administration and facility hire bookings.

Assisting in the running of sport and recreation events within the Town.

Assisting with the organisation and execution of club development workshops.

Promoting sporting clubs, seasonal hires, maintenance and investigation of club issues.

Ensure ongoing compliance with the relevant legislation.

This position is based on a fixed-term opportunity of 12 months whilst you complete your Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics & Recreation as part of a traineeship. You'll also be working alongside experienced team members every step of the way.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

• WA Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain)
  
• Provide First Aid certificate (or ability to obtain)
  
• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  
• Must hold a current 'C' Class Driver's Licence or have dependable transport to ensure timely arrival at work.
