We need an Operations Manager to work directly with our Principal Lawyer and Director. Your job: keep the firm running smoothly so our legal team can focus on clients.

What you’ll do

Handle HR and staff admin: contracts, onboarding, leave, recruitment support.

Keep compliance and policies up to date.

Manage suppliers, insurance, and IT support.

Run reporting: weekly/monthly numbers, expenses, performance.

Review current workflows performance (e.g. file progression, reporting) and suggest process improvements.

Document procedures so staff follow consistent steps.

Oversee implementation of new trackers, templates, and automation in LEAP/SharePoint.

Train staff on non-legal systems and ensure adoption.

Provide operational data (reports, metrics, bottlenecks) that inform the Director’s decisions.

Implement the agreed strategy into workflows and systems.

Flag inefficiencies or risks early, with potential solutions for review.

Improve systems.

Deliver operational projects on time.

What you bring

3+ years in operations or practice management (law firm or professional services).

Organised, tech-savvy, reliable.
