Lead Sales Rep – Full Time
First Aid Academy Pty Ltd – RTO# 40920 is an innovative, professional first aid training centre and first aid supplies store. We create a confidence to care by providing nationally accredited courses and other services, including sales & hire of rescue equipment as well as provision of first aid staff at local events. We cater for a wide variety of local organisations, nationally owned corporate businesses, government agencies, and the general public of Cairns & Far North Queensland.
We are looking for a full time, professional and energetic sales person to join our growing team. If you like to travel all over FNQ, enjoy working in paradise overlooking the ocean or the rainforest then this might be the role for you! Having a willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment as part of our dynamic team will be the key to success in this role.
Your role is based in Cairns, however, you will be required to travel out and about in our beautiful region to restock first aid kits and make additional sales.
First Aid Academy also has a fully stocked shop (physical and online) which you will be responsible for, including stock control, adding new products, pricing updates etc. You will also be responsible for the dispatch of products from our stores.
As Lead Sales Rep, you’ll guide and support the retail team while remaining actively involved on the shop floor and on road servicing. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job—where you’ll lead by example, engage directly with customers, and drive daily sales performance.
While standard hours are typically 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, occasional extended hours and Saturday shifts may be required. These will be discussed and agreed upon on a case-by-case basis to ensure mutual flexibility. Generous working conditions await the right candidate.
The following skills will be advantageous for the successful candidate:
· Demonstrated sales success in previous positions using various customer sales methods
· Evaluate customer’s needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
· Valid driver’s licence with a clean history
· Company promotion at various events
· Excellent phone manner
· Attention to detail
· Professional appearance (uniform will be provided)
· Experience with MYOB (training will be provided if you don’t)
· Experience with CRM systems (Customer Relationship Management)
As part of your daily tasks, you will be required to:
· Assist other departments with general tasks
· Cleaning and housekeeping of all areas of FAA’s training and retail centre, and vehicles as required
Your transferable skills are valuable to us! Outside of sales, there will always be opportunities to apply your administrative, IT, marketing, technical or compliance skills! Marine industry workers with equipment servicing knowledge are a bonus.
