With a stack of new work in hand in Western Australia, they now require an HSE ADVISOR to join their latest project team in the Pilbara.
About the Role
As HSE ADVISOR you will work on 2/1 FIFO roster ex-Perth (12 hour days) to manage and implement the site HSE management plan, and to ensure safety related documentation and reporting requirements are met for client compliance. The successful HSE ADVISOR will monitor HSE performance during daily construction activities and liaise with the workforce to convey health and safety requirements while maintaining an even mix of field and office-based duties. These may include HSE input to toolbox & pre-start meetings, reviewing JHAs, undertaking risk assessments, hazard identification, site auditing, incident investigations and reporting. This is a role where you will be provided autonomy to positively influence and drive the site safety culture to ensure a zero-harm environment for the workforce. All flights, meals and accommodation will be provided. This is a permanent HSE ADVISOR role offering a cracking salary of CIRCA $150K Base + Super & 40% uplift (= $210K + Super Total Package). Experience, Skills, Qualifications and Other Requirements
- Minimum CERT IV in OH&S and/or Tertiary qualification in OH&S (Degree, Diploma)
- Maximum 5-10 years’ experience on industrial or civil construction projects in Western Australia as a HSE OFFICER/ADVISOR on site working for construction contractors
- Past success as HSE OFFICER/ADVISOR implementing HSE management plans and requirements on construction sites in the mining or industrial sector while working on FIFO 2/1 basis
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills and excellent competency across the MS Office suite
- Solid working knowledge of WA HSE legislation and minesite HSE regulations
- Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels with various stakeholders
- Currently Perth/WA based and AVAILABLE ASAP to work on 2/1 FIFO basis
- Clean WA Driver’s License
- Ability to pass pre-employment Medical/DAS testing
