Our client is one of Australia’s biggest national firms hiring a Senior Associate into their Disputes & Investigations team in Sydney, to work with a leading partner in the media, IP & defamation space.

The role:

• You will be responsible for running disputes and litigation in the areas of defamation, privacy and IP (including trade marks, copyright and designs)
• You will display a strong drive for business development, client relationship management and other commercial activities.
• You will have a strong commitment to continuing your own professional development and be passionate about coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team
• You will have strong presentation skills for dealing with media and IP clients

You will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years PAE from a well-regarded commercial litigation practice, ideally with experience in media/IP or media-adjacent sectors. Experience from other sectors combined with a demonstrable desire to work in this field will be considered. Lawyers with a commercial litigation background are welcome to apply.
• Experience taking the lead on disputes, confident running own matters and dealing directly with clients.
• Solid academics.
