General Tradesman

Our local government client in Blacktown is currently seeking a skilled General Tradesperson to join their team in maintaining buildings and infrastructure across the region.

In this hands-on role, you will carry out a variety of maintenance tasks on Council assets, conduct building inspections, and support the training and supervision of apprentices as needed.

About the role:

• Monday - Friday 0600-1500
  
• Pay: $36.13 p/h
  
• Perform maintenance and repair work on Council buildings and infrastructure
  
• Carry out asset inspections and accurately record findings
  
• Supervise and mentor apprentices when required
  
• Complete job records and assist with purchasing materials
  
• Ensure secure storage of tools, equipment, and materials
  
• Report any loss or damage to Council property
  
  Requirements:
  
• Trade Certificate in a relevant field (Post-Trade or Advanced Certificate preferred)
  
• Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship
  
• MR Class Driver's Licence
  
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices and record-keeping
