About the role
The position will lead the design and implementation of innovative quality improvement and workforce development initiatives, with a strong emphasis on fostering community engagement and collaboration. It will actively explore and promote opportunities for inclusive planning, integrated service delivery, and continuous learning across MATSICHS. The role also encompasses the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the service delivery model, ensuring it evolves responsively to meet community needs and aspirations.
Day to Day Duties include:
- Embed the Cultural Integrity Framework and Family Centred Practice Framework within the MATSICHS to ensure services support the growth and development of the social, emotional, spiritual, and cultural wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families
- Accountable for the effective management and implementation of projects and initiatives as directed by the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, timelines, and quality standards
- Collaborate with MATSICHS General Managers to ensure a coordinated and Integrated approach to Planning, Development and Delivery of Primary health care, Family Wellbeing and Staying Deadly services
- Further develop mechanisms to determine health and wellbeing needs for MATSICHS community and potential models of care to improve access and service delivery.
- Working closely with other members of the MATSICHS teams, continually refine and expand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to capture outcome and impact measures that guide service delivery and are meaningful for clients and families
- Foster a culture of openness, transparency, self-reflection and integrity across MATSICHS, encouraging gaps, issues and incidents to be readily identified and acted upon in the interests of continually improving the safety and quality of service provision for clients and community
- Provide leadership in the implementation of evidence-based, best practice health and well-being services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families across the SEQ region
About you
- Lived experience is highly valued in this role, recognising the unique insights, perspectives, and understanding it brings to community engagement, service design, and project delivery. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are strongly encouraged to apply, as this contributes to more responsive, inclusive, and impactful outcomes.
- A combination of formal qualifications and or professional certifications and practical experience that enable them to lead inclusive, community-focused projects with impact and integrity
- Commitment to the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal community control and
- Ability to systematically identify opportunities for improvement in work systems and implement changes in collaboration with colleagues
