About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our vibrant team at Waves on the Beach in Frankston, VIC. Starting as a casual role and if suited will lead into a permanent full time role, you will play a crucial part in creating delicious, high-quality meals that delight our customers and keep them coming back.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards. ie pan dishes

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met

Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies

Providing excellent customer service and responding to any customer queries or requests

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Cooking multiple pan dishes
simultaneously

Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Good understanding of food safety, dietary requirements and hygiene regulations

Pleasant & kind demeanour

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification

Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Must have the right to work in Australia
