Talent Support Program – Head Coach
Term of Position and Requirement
The FNSW Talent Support Program (TSP) Head Coach will be employed by Football NSW during the term.
The term commences 21 October 2025 and ceases 30 September 2026.
To ensure the integrity of the program and avoid potential conflicts of interest, the TSP Head Coach must not engage in coaching roles with other NPL clubs or private academies for the duration of their contract.
Role Purpose
The Talent Support Program (TSP) is a talented player-centred program, strongly focused on the development of the individual within the program, with in-depth support provided to players across key competency areas.
The Head Coach will work closely with the Football NSW Player Development Manager – Boys/Girls/Regional and the wider Technical Department to deliver high-quality development and experience objectives.
The Head Coach must have experience within youth football coaching environments, particularly within talented and high-performance environments.
Key Accountabilities
Lead, prepare, and deliver structured high-performance training and match sessions for the TSP program inline with FNSW youth development model and in consultation with Football NSW Player Development Manager.
The TSP coach is expected to be available for other activities within Football NSW as determined by the Player Development Manager.
Actively participate in FNSW technical meetings and/or events and contribute to the development of programs that support the development of NSW players.
Share knowledge and provide input to the technical direction of underpinning programs.
Preserve a safe and inclusive environment within the TSP for players and coaches.
Provide continual and ongoing feedback to players by way of individual development plans as provided and determined by Football NSW.
Abide by FNSW Grievance & Disciplinary Regulations 2016 (available on the FNSW website under Corporate – Policies & Documents – Behaviour)
Abide by FA National Member Protection Policy (available on the FNSW website under Corporate – Policies & Documents – Behaviour)
Professional Experience/Qualification
AFC/FA B licence
Experience in the establishment and ongoing management of youth player development programs and mentoring of youth coaches
Effective communication skills with coaches and youth players
Ability to provide leadership and direction
Passionate and dedicated to promoting the program
Current Working with Children (WWC) check
Completed the Sports Integrity Australia online courses.
