We’re seeking a driven and experienced Functions Coordinator to join the team at the Corner Hotel, one of Melbourne’s most iconic live music and hospitality venues.

This is a 12 month parental leave cover position, with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

The Corner Hotel is a Melbourne institution in the heart of the Swan St precinct of Richmond, minutes from the CBD and we pride ourselves on friendly customer service, and creating memorable occasions for all of our guests.

We’re looking for someone who can jump in and hit the ground running, using their experience to seamlessly take on the role and keep things moving smoothly.

The ideal candidate will;

Have solid experience and understanding of hospitality and event operations

Have proven experience using Ivvy and Opentable (or similar CRM programs – a bonus!)

Demonstrate excellent written & verbal communication skills with a professional and friendly approach to customer enquiries

Be passionate about customer service, with the ability to stay calm and solutions-focused in a fast paced environment

Bring a background in sales and marketing, with a proactive approach to driving sales

Show strong attention to detail and a self-motivated attitude

Be eager to further develop their skills in hospitality and function management

The position is 12 month parental leave cover with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

A minimum of 24 hours guaranteed each week, however hours may vary depending on needs of the business.

This role may require the applicant to work evenings, weekends and Public Holidays as required.
