Funeral and Facilities Officer - Bendigo Victoria
An exciting opportunity now exists for a Funerals and Facilities Officer to join Mulqueen Family Funerals. This is a unique opportunity to provide excellence in funeral operations and care to our client families.
The successful applicant must possess a confident, caring and understanding nature, together with well-developed interpersonal skills. A high standard of presentation and communication is essential as is a desire to emulate our Values of Trust, Compassion, Excellence, Integrity and Respect.
The role is particularly unique in its requirement to comfortably operate across a variety of areas that ensure our overall seamless operation and passion for excellence and innovation.
There are two primary components to this role. 1. Funeral operations support and 2. Facilities and equipment management.
You will guide all facility and equipment operations to achieve excellence in everything we do and provide support for both the funeral itself and the care of the deceased. Working as part of a close-knit team, you’ll help to ensure we provide a seamless, sensitive service to our clients. Both components require an incredible attention to detail and a desire to ensure that everything we do is ultimately in support of our client families.
In essence, this role is not for the feint-hearted, but from day one we’ll teach what it takes and what it means to deliver great facilities and a first-class funeral service.
Whilst an understanding of the funeral industry and its operations is an advantage, the aptitude to rapidly acquire industry knowledge is essential.
We’re offering a career (with a competitive salary), not just a job.
As our Funerals and Facilities Officer, you will need to be:
physically fit as there is frequent lifting, ladder climbing and general physical activity
adaptable to a rapidly changing workplace
a confident multitasker
at ease with death, the expression of grief and handling deceased people.
Have the ability and desire to work:
professionally, showing respect to the public across a wide variety of cultures
within a busy team environment with limited supervision and have excellent time management skills
under pressure while at the same time, being warm and approachable
receptively to on-the-job mentoring, direction and training.
If you’re a passionate and organized individual looking to make a meaningful impact with people during difficult times, we would love to talk to you about joining our industry leading team.
Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your qualifications and why you think this role is for you.
Mulqueen Family Funerals is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Standard Police and licence checks will be required.
