About the role

Automation Engineers Australia is seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer and Electrical Engineer to join our team in Rouse Hill, NSW. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining industrial control systems, as well as providing electrical engineering support for our diverse range of projects.
Our core basis of projects is custom machine design and assembly, where you will see projects come to life.

What you'll be doing

Programming and configuring Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated equipment, predominantly Allen Bradley,Siemens & Beckhoff

Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial automation and control systems

Providing electrical engineering support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met

Documenting and maintaining detailed records of all work performed

Continuously improving processes and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Extensive experience (5+ years) in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff Control systems

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, instrumentation, and control systems

Proficiency in electrical design, drafting, and documentation

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
