This role is responsible for providing administrative and finance support services to ensure accurate bookkeeping, governance, risk management, and record-keeping systems and processes are in place and maintained effectively.

What you will do

Develop and maintain systems and procedures that provide effective finance, administrative and record-keeping support for MSQ.

Manage accounts payable and receivable and monitor accrual journals ensuring invoices are processed and payments are made on time.

Complete bank reconciliations and end of month reconciliation of payments and accounts.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, including PAYG, GST and Payroll Tax reporting.

Prepare BAS, payroll (fortnightly), PAYG withholding/Super, and cashflow forecasting.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ATO and management reporting, and developing regular and ad hoc reports for the leadership team.

Ensure documents and contracts are written clearly and concisely, in line with policy and procedures.

Provide guidance and support to build the capability of the MSQ team in good governance, finance, and record-keeping.

Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective finance and governance outcomes.

Ad hoc finance related tasks to support the MSQ Team as needed.

Who we are looking for

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with finance/bookkeeping, and record-keeping systems.

High level of integrity through responsible management and use of processes and resources.

Strong administrative skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality of written communication, data, and delivery of high standards of work in line with policy and procedures.

Highly organised, proactive, and a natural planner and problem solver with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.

Diplomacy, tact, and sound judgement on sensitive and confidential matters, appreciating the need for discretion.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels.

Proficient in using and quickly learning electronic information systems (Microsoft Suite, plus other relevant software and information management systems).

Experience with Content Manager records management software, the procurement lifecycle, and/or contract management frameworks is highly advantageous.

Finance/accounting qualifications are highly advantageous.
