PPG Industries is an American Fortune 500 company and global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. We are currently seeking an IT Project Management professional to join our team in Clayton. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all IT project activity across the Australian business. This will involve co-managing the functional and technical track leads of the project, defining application requirements, as well as project priorities.

The role would be well suited to someone from an IT project background, with 3-5 years’ experience, and an ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical members of staff. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 3 days per week required on-site.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

3-5 years of experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution.

An understanding of basic concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies.

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development concepts.

Expertise in the use and application of project management software.

Experienced leadership of cross-functional teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.

Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term objectives.

Strong organizational skills, very detail oriented.

Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Proven flexibility in managing competing priorities.

Excellent analytical skills for identifying and solving problems. Experienced negotiator, with strong facilitation skills.

Desirable

Experience in defining and leading IT projects within and SAP technology environment.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
