Your new role
Fitzroy River Water is seeking a motivated Electrical Project Delivery Engineer to lead and support our project teams in delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an Engineer with a strong background in electrical systems who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
As an Electrical Project Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of electrical components within water infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams such as project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
This dynamic opportunity to contribute to innovative and sustainable infrastructure that supports the region’s water and wastewater services.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or relevant recognised electrical trade qualifications, combined with substantial experience in the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, from design through to completion.
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with clients.
Current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).

Application Criteria
Tertiary qualifications (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Engineering (Electrical) and substantial experience in the delivery of water and wastewater projects.
Demonstrated experience undertaking all aspects of Project Management of water and wastewater projects from inception to handover.
Substantial knowledge and experience in the preparation of tender documentation, construction contracts and procurement processes.
Understanding of relevant guidelines, standards, and legislation appropriate to the Water Industry.
