Accounts Payable Officer
Full-time | Permanent | Based in the office, 5 days per week
I’m currently partnering with a fantastic organisation in the construction industry who are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join their Finance team.
This award-winning builder employs over 650 staff across Australia and New Zealand and delivers projects valued from $50 million to $900 million. With a strong history in building stadiums, over $300 million worth of work recently secured, and major projects ahead of the Olympics, it’s a very exciting time to join this business.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively drive company safety, environment, and quality policies in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements.
- Enter supplier invoices accurately.
- Code and match supplier invoices to purchase orders and goods receipt notices.
- Ensure all invoices are approved by delegated authority.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor records in COINS, including verification procedures.
- Process subcontractor payment vouchers, ensuring insurances and ABN registrations are valid.
- Distribute unpaid subcontractor voucher lists and insurance expiry reminders.
- Prepare weekly EFT payments through CommBiz.
- Release remittance advices and Recipient Created Tax Invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all payments are accounted for.
- Run aged ledger reports monthly, following up on credits and unpaid vouchers.
- Provide support to the Group Finance team and AP team members.
- Communicate with external parties and internal stakeholders.
- Manage filing, incoming mail, and other finance admin as required.
About You
- Strong accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with finance systems.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working in-office (5 days per week).

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
