A NSW government regulator is seeking a visionary Chief Actuary to establish and lead its internal actuarial capability. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of actuarial services across Workers Compensation, CTP, and Home Building Compensation schemes.
You’ll design and implement a hybrid operating model, blending external consultancy with a newly formed internal team, and provide strategic advice to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a hybrid actuarial services model.
- Advise on strategic direction, resources, and capabilities.
- Lead knowledge transfer from external providers to internal teams.
- Develop models to support regulatory decision-making.
- Identify and advise on scheme risks.
- Mentor and uplift actuarial capability across the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- FIAA-qualified actuary with a degree in actuarial science.
- Deep experience in personal injury insurance schemes.
- Proven leadership in building actuarial functions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive influence.
- Excellent communication and adaptability in dynamic environments.
