Player Development Manager - Goalkeeper

About Us:

The primary purpose of the Player Development Manager – Goalkeeper is to oversee all Goalkeeper Development activities within Football NSW, including the delivery of goalkeeper coach education courses, modules & workshops, delivery of goalkeeper player development within FNSW talented player pathway programs, support to the FNSW membership and management of the FNSW Goalkeeper Development Centre.

This role will support Football NSW and the Technical Department strive towards improving the player & coach goalkeeper development pathway and provide accountability, delivery of best practice and capability building within our ecosystem.

Working with various stakeholders, this role will provide leadership, direction and development within the Goalkeeper landscape and deliver best practice development programs to produce better footballers & coaches.

This role is a unique and challenging role to directly influence how the entire membership of FNSW interacts with football, their experience within and the development of players and coaches to meet FNSW and FA development objectives.

The position is full-time based at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood however will require weekend and evening working hours to complete the responsibilities.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

· Delivery and administration of Community Coach Education Goalkeeper courses

· Delivery of the Goalkeeper components of the FA C & B Diploma

· Delivery of the FA Goalkeeper B Diploma

· Preparation, planning and delivery of goalkeeping duties for FNSW Talented Player pathway programs, Boys & Girls

· Management & administration of the FNSW Goalkeeper Development Centre

· Provide advice to the FNSW Technical Department on Goalkeeper related matters

· Maintain a strong relationship with the Football Australia Technical Department, specifically Head of Goalkeeping

· Collaborate and support FNSW stakeholders

· Alignment to Football Australia Goalkeeper talent development, including Junior Socceroos & Matildas

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour Required

· AFC / FA Goalkeeper B Diploma

· Proven experience in the delivery of football development programs

· Proven experience working with a broad cross section of stakeholders

· Strong Microsoft suite skillset

· Highly organised with strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

· The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks within defined time frames

· Proven team player and with conflict resolution experience

· Excellent problem-solving ability and analytical skills

· Commitment to evidence based decision making

· Eligibility to work in Australia

· Commitment to FNSW Policies, Procedures and behaviour expectations

· Working with children check and current driver’s license

Unique criteria

This role will require evening & weekend work which will be included within normal working hours as part of the role contract.

Time in Lieu may be available upon discussion within direct manager and CEO.
