The Role
Reporting to the Senior AP Officer, the Finance Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely bank reconciliations across a high volume of accounts, along with credit card and accounts payable clearing account processes. This is a detail-oriented role where accuracy, problem-solving, and strong communication are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily, weekly, and monthly high-volume bank reconciliations across multiple business units
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and transaction discrepancies with accuracy and efficiency
- Oversee credit card reconciliations and associated processes
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable clearing accounts (e.g., Telstra, BP)
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve reconciliation processes
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements
About You
- 2–5+ years’ experience in a finance role, with a strong focus on reconciliations
- Proven track record in handling large-scale bank reconciliations
- Proficient in ERP systems with strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy, even in a fast-paced environment
- Organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach
