Our reputation is built on a strong commitment to quality, ingenuity, and fostering lasting partnerships with our clients and suppliers. To support the growth of our Pressure Equipment Division in Newcastle, we are seeking a talented and ambitious Project Coordinator to join our team.

The Position

The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the efficient and successful execution of pressure equipment fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the project management process, including planning, coordinating, and tracking project activities from initiation through to completion.

This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of industrial fabrication processes and of AS & ASME codes and standards. It is also desired that the candidate has the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

· Project Planning & Scheduling: Assist Project Managers with schedules, milestones, and resource allocation

· Documentation: Maintain all project documents, including drawings, material specifications, quality control records, reports, and communications

· Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams and external parties like clients and suppliers

· Progress Reporting: Track project progress, identify deviations, and create status reports.

· Change Management: Help document, track and communicate of all project variations, scope changes and non-conformances

· Procurement Support: Assist with material requisitions, delivery tracking, and material verification

· Quality Support: Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure quality standards are met and documented

· Meeting Management: Organize meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes and track action items

Skill Set

· Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field is highly desirable

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project coordination, project support, or administrative role, preferably within a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial engineering environment

· Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (for manufactured pressure equipment)

· Understanding of AS & ASME codes related to pressure equipment & piping

· Understanding of client specifications and scope of works

· Understanding of welding, non-destructive testing and manufacturing methodologies & processes

· Ability to travel within Australia or overseas

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and external parties

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure to meet deadlines

· A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving capabilities

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software

· Must have the right to work in Australia without sponsorship

Relocation Package

This role is based in Newcastle, NSW. A reasonable relocation package is available for the right candidate.
