Contribute to the Building and Environmental Health Unit at Tweed Shire Council by performing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties within the dynamic Planning and Regulation Division.
About the role:
- Provide high-level administrative and clerical support across the Unit, including general office duties as directed by the Administration Supervisor.
- Utilise expertise in NSW ePlanning Portal, Microsoft Office and Teams, Council’s eProperty Portal and Record Management System, TechnologyOne Financials and other systems as required.
- Deliver responsive and flexible support in a fast-paced environment, contributing to quality client service and assisting team members during peak periods.
- Conduct minor research, assist with projects and prepare draft reports to support operational and strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail while adapting to shifting priorities and ensuring smooth administrative processes within the Unit.

We are seeking:
- A candidate with a minimum Certificate III in Business/Administration or relevant discipline and proven competence in a similar administrative support role.
- Advanced skills in typing, data entry and the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proven ability to perform a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks, including reception duties, document handling and records management.
- Willingness and capacity to learn and become proficient in modern electronic business systems, such as land information systems, record management systems and GIS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team in a professional environment.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
