The Opportunity

We are seeking a Data Engineer (Integration & Modelling) SFIA4 to support a large Defence's Data Management function. You will sustain and improve data warehouse performance, deliver ETL solutions, and ensure compliance with Defence data governance and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise Defence data warehouse and analytics environments.
• Deliver and document data models, ETL processes, and integration artefacts.
• Monitor and tune query performance to improve efficiency.
• Implement Defence data governance and security controls.
• Work with multiple ICT teams to deliver integrated analytics solutions.

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience in data engineering, ETL, and modelling.
• Strong SQL/database performance optimisation skills.
• Experience with Defence or large-scale government data environments.
• Australian citizenship with a current NV1 security clearance or higher.
