About the role

Better Basics' is seeking skilled and passionate MSL Specialist Tutors to join our team in Ipswich, Queensland. These are casual positions with most work hours Monday to Friday between 6:45am - 9:00am before school and/or 2:00pm-7:00pm after school, and Saturdays between 8:00am-3:00pm (actual hours may differ).

APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 2-3 SHIFTS, IN-PERSON AT OUR OFFICE IN IPSWICH.

What you'll be doing

Providing one-on-one or paired tutoring sessions in Mathematics and Literacy (MSL) to primary and secondary school students

Developing and delivering engaging, tailored lesson plans to cater to the individual needs of each student

Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to students and their families

Maintaining detailed student records

What we're looking for

Relevant teaching or tutoring experience

Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Literacy

Interest in MSL tutoring and ability to obtain MSL qualifications

Ability to tutor in-person at Ipswich and online.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and their families

A passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential

Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the unique learning needs of each student

A valid Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
