ABOUT US & THE ROLE

Padea partners with high schools to run after-hours, on-campus study sessions. As an Academic Tutor, you will help students understand subject content, prepare for tests and complete assignments. You will also help them stay focused and build study habits. In return, you will enjoy the high pay, flexibility and impact of private tutoring, without the unpaid admin or choppy, unreliable hours.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Set clear goals with students each session and help them plan steps to achieve them.

Keep students focused and progressing, while managing distractions and behaviour.

Help students understand subject content, prepare for tests and complete assignments.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

ATAR 99.00 (or equivalent), or a scored of at least 90% in the subjects you tutor.

Experience tutoring and/or working with students (group experience preferred).

Able to commit to at least one shift per week: Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 7:30pm.

Valid Working with Children Check (WWWC/Blue Card) or eligibility to obtain one.

Reliable transport to school campuses (licence and vehicle preferred, not required).

YOUR COMPENSATION

$50 per hour ($150 per three-hour shift), with pay progression available.

Paid 30-minute dinner break, with catered meals occasionally available.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications close at midnight, Friday 12th September 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 15-minute virtual interview. As part of the interview, you will be asked to participate in a mock tutoring scenario.

Offers will be made by Monday 29th September 2025. The role commences on the week of the 13th of October 2025.
