About the role
Identify, develop and implement safety initiatives, raise awareness of incidents and risks, and develop proactive strategies that make a difference in this key position. Reporting to the WHS & Risk Manager this autonomous position takes initiative, to develop initiatives that creates a safe working environment, partnering closely with leaders and team members to manage incidents, coach a safety mindset, create insightful reporting and recommendations, innovate and implement improvements, taking ownership for ensuring best practice standards are met at all times.
About You:
You’ll bring initiative and be looking for a role that welcomes your ideas, recommendations and strategic insights, and a manager wants to see you grow, because in our team ambition is welcome. With an ability to have difficult conversations that challenge but inspire others you’ll bring an ability to connect and influence others. With a solution focus you’ll see opportunities and thrive on creating resolutions. Your key experience will include:
- A degree in WHS or equivalent is highly desirable
- Solid experience in a similar WHS role with demonstrated ability to embed standards
- Strong communication, relationship and influencing skills
- Excellent data management, reporting, writing and documentation abilities
- Flexibility, adaptability, resilience and energy as a team member
- Ability to apply the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
